Basalt Wool Novoterm Lite 30

Basalt Wool Novoterm NT Facade 135

1000x600 mm

Novoterm NT Facade 135 insulation is made of basalt. Using a special technology, basalt is melted at high temperatures, drawn into a fiber, and given a specific shape. This high-quality insulation is produced in Ukraine and is comparable to foreign counterparts in its characteristics. The primary purpose of this insulation is facade thermal insulation; it is intended for facade insulation systems in private, cottage, and high-rise construction. Fastening is carried out by the wet method (with adhesive mixtures) under plaster. Novoterm NT Facade 135 insulation not only performs thermal insulation but also has good sound insulation characteristics.

Advantages:

  • the slab insulation comes in standard sizes of 1000x600mm;
  • the insulation in the form of basalt slabs is completely ecological;
  • the slabs are treated with hydrophobic water-repellent impregnations to prevent the wool from becoming wet when covered with a layer of plaster and in conditions of increased humidity;
  • resistant to fungi and mold, although their appearance is excluded with proper installation, as it has a high vapor permeability coefficient;
  • stone basalt wool is completely non-combustible and has a long service life;
  • creates comfort and coziness due to high sound-insulating properties.

Installation: After opening the branded polyethylene packaging with the Novoterm inscription, slabs of the required thickness are attached to the pre-prepared base. The facade walls of the building must be cleaned of dust, dirt, and other materials that prevent adhesion. The surface should be treated with a deep-penetration primer to strengthen the outer layer of the initial plaster and reduce moisture absorption. Special adhesive mixtures designed for gluing basalt wool must be used as the adhesive for preliminary fastening. The adhesive can be applied to the entire surface of the slab and leveled with a notched trowel, or along the perimeter with a 5-7 cm gap. In the middle of the slab, 3-4 segments of adhesive are placed, in such a quantity that when pressed firmly against the wall, the adhesive occupies at least 40%-60% of the surface. Mechanical fastening using "mushroom" anchors (dowel fasteners), **obligatorily with a metal core**, can be carried out no earlier than 1-3 days after the slabs are installed. After that, the outer surface of the slab is completely covered with the same adhesive compound in a layer of 2-3 mm, and the reinforcing mesh is pressed into it and smoothed with a trowel. In case of significant surface irregularities, the adhesive is applied using the beacon method (spot/dot and perimeter method). After complete drying, a protective and decorative layer of plaster can be applied. Pay attention! The reinforcing plaster mesh must be of high quality and 145 density, and **must be alkali-resistant**, otherwise it will quickly become unusable.
